1. Platform Description

StoryToDieFor is an online marketplace that allows creators to publish interactive stories (such as murder mystery games and narrative experiences) and allows users to purchase and download these stories.

The platform acts as a marketplace intermediary between creators and buyers. Unless explicitly stated, StoryToDieFor does not create or own the stories available on the platform.

2. Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years old or the age of legal majority in their jurisdiction to use the platform, create an account, or publish stories.

3. Accounts

Users may be required to create an account to access certain features.

Users agree to:

• Provide accurate information
• Maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials
• Be responsible for activities conducted under their account

StoryToDieFor reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Purchases and Payments

Stories sold on the platform are digital products.

Payments are processed through third-party payment providers such as Stripe.

After successful payment, the story will become accessible through the platform for download or use.

Prices are displayed in the applicable currency and may change at any time.

5. Refunds and Complaints

Due to the nature of digital products, refunds are limited.

Buyers may submit a complaint or refund request within 7 days of purchase if:

• The story is incomplete
• Essential documents are missing
• The story is incoherent or unusable for its intended purpose

Refund requests must include a description of the issue.

Refunds will not be granted for:

• Personal taste or preference
• Difficulty running the story
• Minor formatting or stylistic issues

StoryToDieFor reserves the right to review complaints and determine whether a refund is appropriate.

6. Use of Purchased Stories (Buyer Terms)

When purchasing a story, the buyer receives a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the content.

Buyers may:

• Use the story for private events or personal entertainment.

Buyers may not:

• Share the story files publicly
• Upload the story online
• Distribute copies of the story outside the intended players
• Resell the story or its materials
• Claim authorship of the story
• Use the story commercially without permission from the creator

All intellectual property rights remain with the creator.

7. Spoiler Protection

Interactive mystery stories rely on secrets and plot twists. Buyers agree not to publicly disclose solutions, plot twists, or confidential story materials in a way that would significantly reduce the experience for future players.

8. Creator Responsibilities

Creators publishing stories on the platform agree that:

• The story must be complete and playable
• All required documents (instructions, character sheets, clues, etc.) must be included
• The narrative must be coherent and usable
• The content must not infringe on intellectual property rights
• The content must comply with applicable laws

Creators are responsible for the quality and legality of the content they publish.

9. Use of AI

AI tools may be used to help with the formatting and polishing of stories.

However:

• AI must not be used to generate or create story content
• The story — its plot, structure, and writing — must be the creator's own work
• Stories that lack coherence or appear to have been AI-generated will be rejected
• Creators remain fully responsible for the content they publish

10. Revenue and Commission

Creators may earn revenue from sales of their stories on StoryToDieFor. StoryToDieFor retains a 30% commission from each sale to cover platform operation, payment processing, and hosting costs.

Creators receive the remaining 70% of the sale price, subject to payment processing fees where applicable.

Payment schedules and payout methods will be communicated through the platform. StoryToDieFor reserves the right to modify commission structures in the future with reasonable notice.

11. Intellectual Property

Creators retain ownership of the intellectual property rights to the stories they upload.

By publishing a story on StoryToDieFor, creators grant the platform a non-exclusive license to host the story, display it on the platform, and promote and distribute it to buyers.

Buyers receive only a limited license for personal use and do not acquire ownership of the content.

12. Content Moderation

StoryToDieFor reserves the right to review and moderate content published by creators. Content may be removed if it:

• Violates these Terms
• Infringes intellectual property rights
• Contains illegal or harmful material
• Is clearly incomplete or misleading

Creators who repeatedly violate these rules may have their accounts suspended or removed.

13. Copyright and DMCA Complaints

If you believe that content available on StoryToDieFor infringes your copyright, you may submit a complaint including:

• Identification of the copyrighted work
• Identification of the allegedly infringing content
• Your contact information
• A statement that you believe the use is unauthorized

Upon receiving a valid complaint, StoryToDieFor may remove or disable access to the content while the issue is reviewed.

14. Prohibited Uses

Users may not use the platform to:

• Upload stolen or plagiarized content
• Circumvent payment systems
• Attempt to copy or scrape stories from the platform
• Harass other users or creators

Violation may result in account suspension or termination.

15. Platform Availability

The platform is provided “as is” without guarantees of uninterrupted availability. StoryToDieFor may modify, suspend, or discontinue features of the service at any time.

16. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StoryToDieFor is not liable for the creative quality of stories published by creators, the success or outcome of events using the stories, or losses resulting from misuse of purchased content.

17. Platform Shutdown

StoryToDieFor reserves the right to discontinue operations at any time. In the event of a shutdown:

• Users may retain access to content previously downloaded
• The platform is not responsible for long-term storage of purchased files
• Creators will be notified regarding any outstanding payments where applicable

18. Changes to the Terms

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
